My Skin Care Routine!

Being a teenager with acne and not a huge budget to spend money on spot fighting products is kind of daunting but fear no more...

I have found a perfect combination of acne fighting, teenage friendly, budget loving skincare products!

First step; washing your face.
Now you should aim to wash your face around 1-2 times a day, no more or less.
Less and you won't clear away any nasty impurities and excess oil, but too much and you will strip your face of oil giving it no chose to provide more excess oil - leading to spots.

1. I use Clean & Clear cream wash with a clean flannel to wash my face. It leaves me feeling not dried out and it has a cooling effect!
This face wash was around £3 pounds, but it's mostly always on offer in supermarkets and drugstores (Boots, Superdrug)

Next up, moisturise. I know there's a common misconception that you shouldn't moisturise beause people think it will 'clog pores'
NO no no! That is wrong.
Using an oil free moisturiser will help to add moisture after you strip your face of oils when you clean it, like I said above. So your face doesn't produce excess oil.

Neutrogena Grapefruit Oil free moisturiser (around £3-5 pounds) is perfect and such a beautiful light smelling moisturiser.
I apply it with a cotton pas to get an even layer and it also helps to spread the product much better than you would using your hands.

Lastly, I use Boots own Cucumber clay face mask (£1.50) once or twice a week.
It has a lovely cooling effect, makes you feel fresh and helps replenish your skin!
You only have to use a small amount and it is amazingly cheap with brilliant quality.

Let me know what products you use which follow along the criteria in this post!
